Cheryl A. Munoz is the president and owner of Zephyr Investment Management. She has risen through the ranks of Zephyr since 1996 and became president in 2013. With over 27 years of experience, Cher’s goal is to create inspiring financial plans for clients to help them live purposeful lives. She gets great joy at seeing clients realize their goals and dreams.

Her strength is assisting individuals and businesses in growing their wealth by investing in the stock and bond markets while at the same time having a fighting chance of avoiding wealth-decimating declines. After all, that’s really what most people want.

Cheryl graduated with honors from California State University at Northridge and holds an MBA^® in finance from Pepperdine University. In 2006, she was inducted into Pepperdine’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society that recognizes the academic achievements of the world’s best business students and provides the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive.

She is one of the few who have received recognition as a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, completing an intensive three-year program covering economics, financial statement analysis, equity research and analysis, and portfolio management and design. She is also a licensed general insurance and variable annuity agent, as well as a Registered Securities Principal. She holds her securities registrations though FSC Securities Corporation, a registered broker/dealer and member FINRA/SIPC. She also writes and speaks about financial topics in a manner non-financial individuals can understand.

Cheryl lives and works in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village area with her husband, Rick, and two children. She enjoys hiking, camping, Pilates, and reading personal finance books.
